LEGAL BASIS AND ESTABLISHMENT
ESSU was established as a state university through Republic Act No. 9312, approved on August 7, 2004. Research and Innovation — generate knowledge and develop solutions that respond to local and national needs. Extension and Community Engagement — share expertise, technologies, and services that improve community well-being. Public Service and Development — promote responsible leadership, collaboration, and sustainable regional development.
OUR COMMITMENT TO THE FUTURE
As a public university, ESSU continues to strengthen academic excellence, research capacity, community partnerships, and institutional development. Guided by its commitment to quality education and public service, the university strives to create meaningful opportunities for students and contribute to a better future for Eastern Samar.
