Athletes flock to the ESSU Main Campus grandstand to climb the stage and receive their medals, having their names and their campuses announced in the awarding ceremonies to wrap up the 2024 Inter Campus Meet on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
Matches have been fought hard until the final whistle as medals get hung around the necks of the winners and podium placers while others look ahead with heads held high into the next games. This year's edition of the games has been filled with an air of tension, intense action, and stiff competition. All contributing to a gratifying conclusion.
Out of the various events up for grabs, ESSU Main Campus secured 92 golds, 27 silvers, and 12 bronzes, emerging as the overall winners. Coming in at an impressive second place finish is ESSU Can-avid with 32 golds, 29 silvers, and 16 bronzes; ESSU Guiuan came in third place with 20 golds, 30 silvers, and 16 bronzes. Completing the scoreboard are ESSU Salcedo with 3 golds, 14 silvers, and 10 bronzes; ESSU Maydolong with 3 golds, 6 silvers, and 13 bronzes; and ESSU Arteche with 1 gold, 9 silvers, and 4 bronzes.
Now the entire sports program of the University unites to assemble the best of the best from all campuses to maximize its chances of a better than previous overall performance in the upcoming regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) meet scheduled for December 8 to 13, 2024, at Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) in Calbayog City, Western Samar.
