After completing their internal audit of the external campuses in the past two weeks prior, members of ESSU's Internal Quality Auditors (IQA), composed of faculty members and administrative personnel from across all campuses, wrapped up the crucial audit sessions at the main campus on January 30 - 31, 2025.
The entire process has been carefully managed by Dr. Jocelyn S. Castro, Vice President of External Affairs & Quality Assurance, working hand in hand with Director Hazel L. Cuna of the Quality Assurance & Accreditation Center (QAAC) alongside the tireless members of the University's internal audit team. This is all in preparation for the on-site surveillance by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) auditors from SOCOTEC in the recertification process later this year.
With this exercise, ESSU firmly holds to its promise of ensuring that all processes and services comply with the highest institutional standards by satisfying customer satisfaction and improving operational efficiency. All of these are achieved via a thorough review of documentary requirements and face-to-face inquiry that simulates an actual surveillance audit.
In their messages, Dr. Castro & Ms. Cuna underscored the significant role everyone plays in securing the said recertification. Apart from compliance, ISO certification provides a foolproof system for maintaining and improving operational standards that all stakeholders and process owners must fully commit to.
