In profound recognition of his exceptional dedication, service, and contribution to society, Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr., University President, was honored as one of the recipients of the Outstanding Volunteers Award (OVA) at the 4th OVA Awarding Ceremony held at the Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) Gymnasium on January 27, 2024.
The Students' Actions Vital to the Environment and Mother Earth (SAVE ME) Movement, Inc. organized OVA in order to honor the selfless efforts of people and organizations who have significantly improved society and the environment. Moreover, the OVA awarding ceremony is held annually to celebrate and honor volunteers in the Philippines who have demonstrated exemplary service, dedication, and impact in various fields, such as environmental conservation, community development, health, the arts, and more.
This year, the OVA awarding ceremony recognized the remarkable achievements of our very own University President, Dr. Pagatpatan. The plaque of recognition was awarded to him by distinguished group of individuals, including OMSC President, Dr. Elbert C. Edaniol, RSU President, Dr. Merian C. Mani, and the Founder and Executive Director of SAVE ME Movement, Dr. Edwin C. Monares.
Throughout Dr. Pagatpatan's tenure as University President, ESSU has seen significant advancements in research, innovation, and infrastructure, fostering a culture of excellence among students, faculty, and administrative employees.
