It was a busy second day of the International Faculty Mobility engagement with the professors from the Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana (UKRIDA) of West Jakarta, Indonesia, in simultaneous lectures with students and faculty members around the Main Campus on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
At the Teatro Ibabawnon, Dr. Inneke Kusumawati Susanto, Medical Doctor for BioMed, gave two lectures before the students and faculty of the College of Science (CS), College of Agriculture (CAg), and the College of Nursing & Allied Sciences (CONAS). In the morning, Dr. Inneke discussed a topic on "Soil Transmitted Helminth Identification in Locally Produced Vegetables for Clean and Healthy Living."
In the afternoon session, the Biomed expert gave a comprehensive talk on "Prevention & Control of Food-borne Parasitic Zoonoses in Farm and Rural Communities." On both occasions, Dr. Inneke also addressed questions from the participants in the open forum.
Both lectures were well-received by the audience, with students and faculty from the different colleges expressing their gratitude for the valuable insights shared by Dr. Inneke. Many found the information on soil-transmitted helminths in vegetables and food-borne parasitic zoonoses to be eye-opening and informative. The open forum provided an opportunity for participants to engage with Dr. Inneke and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of these topics in promoting clean and healthy living in both urban and rural communities.
Meanwhile, the two other Indonesian professors also gave separate lectures to their respective audiences at different venues.
