TESO Turns Over 2nd Installments of Vinegar Production Equipment to Brgy. Casoroy Beneficiaries

The Training and Extension Services Office (TESO) of the University successfully turned over yesterday, December 10, 2025, the remaining supplies and equipment for vinegar production to beneficiary organizations of Brgy. Casoroy, San Julian, Eastern Samar, who picked up the goods from the Supply and Property Management Office (SPMO) at the Main Campus.

Funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the said extension engagement was made possible through the Community Empowerment for Sustainable Development (CEST) of DOST in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of the Municipality of San Julian.

The extension program paves the way for the establishment of an S&T Facility on Accelerated Vinegar Production for Economically Challenged Communities, benefiting two farmer associations, which are the Casoroy Multi-Cropping Farmers Association (CMCA) and Brgy. Casoroy Farmers Association.

Leading the turnover process was Vice President for Research Development and Extension, Dr. Lito D. Lacaba, and TESO Director, Dr. Maria Natalia A. Ciasico, together with ESSU Consultant and former University President, Dr. Edmundo A. Campoto. This handover marks the completion of all supplies and equipment for the said project, with the first installment delivered on October 30, 2024. With this completion, the wheels will now be rolling for the training & implementation process.
