ISO Surveillance Audit Wraps Up on a High Note, ESSU is ISO 9001:2015 Recertified

Following an arduous 2-day surveillance audit in ESSU Main Campus, ESSU Guiuan, and ESSU Salcedo, the meticulous process has now come to a conclusion. The top management, University’s IQA team, college deans, directors, office heads, and process owners can now let the tensions go and breathe easy.

At the closing ceremonies just a little past 7 o'clock in the evening yesterday, May 15, 2024, the SOCOTEC team presented their audit findings, laid out recommendations, and invited questions and clarifications. With each audit item finding that was being communicated by audit Team Leader, Mr. Jose Emmanuel Thomas Diel, the entire ESSU team glued their attention to the screen with some measure of tightness.

With only 2 counts of minor Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) that demands concrete action and fine-tuning; and more importantly with zero major ones, the venue erupted with jubilant applause from the entire ESSU team led by Vice President for Administration, Dr. Rhodora C. Mendoza and Vice President for Research and Extension, Dr. Lito A. Lacaba as Mr. Diel pronounced that Eastern Samar State University is being recognized for ISO 9001:2015 Recertification.

Via recorded AVP, ESSU President Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr. profusely expressed his appreciation for his Internal Quality Audit (IQA) team, and the entire ESSU Community for their unified support in the entire process that led to this moment. With the same vigor, he also expressed his gratitude towards the SOCOTEC audit team for their constructive criticism and continued partnership with ESSU in its commitment to conform to the highest standards in all aspects of operation.

Congratulations for another job well done, Eastern Samar State University! We shall remain living up to great expectations!
