Student-athletes from across all campuses finally get to strut their stuff on the opening day of the games. The athletes have a bit of built up exhilaration in them as the games were moved up a day forward because of the effects of Tropical Storm Kristine.
Like warriors who have set camp, they step onto the battlefield at last.
