Led by the College of Engineering (COE) Dean, Engr. Ressa J. Candido, and faculty members of the said college were more than glad to keep Dr. Ivan Tanra company in his brief but fun session with the students of Sta. Fe National High School (SFNHS) on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
An engineer by profession and a smart systems expert, Dr. Ivan gave an engaging Physics education session with the students, who were more than pleased to have him at their camp. The SFNHS faculty and students expressed their pleasure to have a foreign specialist share his expertise on such an interesting subject that helped inspire enthusiasm among the students.
The students were also thrilled to actively participate in a couple of practical exercises facilitated by the Indonesian professor. Physics education is an important sub-field within science education, with a focus on the teaching and learning of physics both at the high school and university level, which provides knowledge and skills that contribute to a literate and skilled citizenry with an immediate impact on society.
