Eastern Samar State University earned yet another recognition for management excellence at the “Pagpupugay sa Serbisyong Bayan: PASUC8 Tribute and DBM Awards for TOP Performers of 2023” event yesterday, June 27, 2024, at the Summit Hotel, Tacloban City.
Organized by PASUC Region VIII and DBM Region VIII, the two-fold event paid tribute to SUC presidents in the region who have recently completed their terms and recognized the top performing State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the region for Fiscal Year 2023.
At the event, the ESSU was presented with awards by the DBM for Top Obligations BUR Performer, 100% Disbursements BUR Performer, and Income Collection Award. The awards were received by Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr., University President, together with Prof. Jared Harem Q. Celis, ESSU Guiuan Campus Administrator, and Dr. Jerald P. Torillo, Procurement Officer and IGP Director.
The said recognition is another feather in the cap and further strengthens the university’s commitment to transparency and strict adherence to financial and asset management standards, befitting a prime institution.
