ESSU Secures Membership with AUAP, Widens Opportunities for Internationalization

In a ceremonial awarding of the Certificate of Membership on August 14, 2024, ESSU officially seals its membership with the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), which opens doors that will intensify its internationalization pursuits.

ESSU Internationalization Director, Prof. Marijun Leonor T. Obon, CPA, presented University President, Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan Jr., with the membership certificate. Established on the 28th of July 1995 with the highest consultative status and recognition from the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), AUAP's primary purpose is to be the main platform for interaction and collaboration between its members and to be an effective voice for universities in Asia and the Pacific region.

ESSU's membership in this organization aims to fulfill the university's mission of producing graduates who are equipped to meet the demands of a globalized world, promote greater access to the quality of education by providing access to resources and expertise from other countries, and create connections with international students and faculty by providing them with a platform to connect with our University.

This also means increased international visibility and profile for ESSU by showcasing the products and services to its foreign partners in the association. ESSU joins other top universities in the country that are also members of AUAP, such as the University of Santo Tomas, Far Eastern University, Philippine Normal University, and Lyceum University of the Philippines-Manila, to name a few.
