ESSU Participates in DICT's Inaugural CIO Conference Towards Improving Digital Landscape

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) hosted the inaugural Chief Information Officers Conference at the Rizal Park Hotel Grand Ballroom in the nation's capital of Manila, bringing together Chief Information Officers (CIOs) from the various National Government Agencies (NGAs), Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
 
As the Public Relations and Information Management Office (PRIMO) Director and the designated Primary Chief Information Officer (CIO) of ESSU, Ms. Maria Ayreen Baquilod-Elpedes took part in the convention, which aims to improve the digital landscape of the country and closely communicate and discuss with the CIOs of all of the government institutions, ultimately achieving a digitized government and nation.
 
In the conference, the CIO Council, chaired by DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy, was ceremonially launched, and the designated Primary CIOs across all agencies in the country took their oaths.
 
Among the topics of discussion in the said conference is the presentation of the eGovernment Masterplan, the current situation of the ICT sector of the country, along with the digitalization initiatives that are being implemented to date, including the eGovAI through the eGovPH App.
 
This landmark conference marks a significant step towards a fully digitized Philippines, fostering innovation, collaboration, and digital transformation across all the government agencies, departments, SUCs, and other offices.
