Key officials and concerned offices and units of Eastern Samar State University convened with the audit team from the Commission on Audit (COA) for the periodic Exit Conference on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the President’s Conference Room, ESSU Main Campus.
All in the name of transparency and good governance, the ESSU management, led by University President Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr., along with the Vice Presidents, Campus Administrators, and the rest of the concerned University personnel, sat down with their counterparts from the said commission to discuss their audit findings for the previous year and convey their recommendations for the current year and future operations.
Supervising Auditor and State Auditor V, Atty. Helen O. Fabra, was ably represented by her hard-working team headed by Audit Team Leader for ESSU, State Auditor III, Ms. Erica D. Villero-Raquirag; State Auditor I, Mr. Jay Arnold Macasa; and State Auditing Examiner II, Ms. Doris D. Gongon, for the said session.
As intended, the exercise highlighted the institutional assets and financial management best practices that ESSU carries out and brought to light the items that need better attention and full compliance to ensure that the University’s resources and finances are expended according to lawful regulations.
