At noon time today, May 24, 2024, the results for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) which was conducted last March 17, 2024, was released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) with Eastern Samar State University once again making its presence felt.
We are proud to announce that ESSU did better than the national passing rate of 46.70% for the Elementary Education by posting a 57.73% institutional passing rate. In the same results, ESSU’s 54.42% institutional passing rate for the Secondary Education is just as impressive. These figures encompass all takers from the five ESSU campuses: Borongan Main Campus, and external campuses in Guiuan, Can-avid, Salcedo, Maydolong.
It is also worth highlighting that ESSU Arteche, listed as an extension campus of ESSU Borongan at the moment, and currently in the works of being formally confirmed as a regular campus, has excelled with their 87.50% Elementary Education passing rate, and 83.33% Secondary Education passing rate.
Across all campuses, ESSU registered 265 new elementary education teachers and 283 new secondary education teachers or an outstanding 548 additional teaching professionals who will further ease the countries’ shortage of teachers especially in the public schools.
