The Student Scholarship and Financial Assistance (SSFA) Office of ESSU Main Campus, led by its Head, Prof. Jocelyn C. Mendoza, and Scholarship Coordinator, Prof. Fatima M. Suyot, oversaw another scholarship assistance distribution on January 22-23, 2025, for the new semester.
A total of Php 2,690,000 in financial assistance from the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) was handed out to 269 student beneficiaries who received Php 10,000. Meanwhile, in the Tunong Dunong Program (TDP), a total of Php 1,350,000 assistance was distributed to 180 beneficiaries who received Php 7,500 each.
Both of the said scholarship programs are funded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and given to the students on a per-semester basis. The funds distributed in the aforementioned events are part of the checks personally handed over by CHEDRO8 Director, Dr. Maximo C. Aljibe, in his visit last December 2024.
Support personnel from the SSFA and the Cashier's Office facilitated the documentary evaluation of the students and the orderly distribution of the cash benefit.
