Through the initiative of the Faculty Association, ESSU Main conducts its first in a series of three Professional Development Seminar-Workshop today, July 18, 2024 at the Teatro Ibabawnon.
Today's session was participated by the members of the faculty across the different colleges of the Main Campus. In his opening message, ESSU Faculty Association President, Dr. Delbert A. Dala, explained that the workshops seek to reiterate vital teaching strategies and introduce new ideas in instruction among the faculty members, to make sure that their methods are updated, to keep with the ever changing landscape of education globally.
Three topics were discussed in today's session, namely: Mastering the Art of Questioning, Crafting Effective Tables of Specification and Diverse Test Types for Enhanced Assessment. The three topics were discussed by Prof. Leni A. Alzate, BA Communication Program Head, Ms. Laarni Joy A. Ballos, College of Education faculty member, and Dr. Erlie C. Delantar, College of Arts & Social Sciences (CASS) Associate Dean,respectively.
The second workshop - Facilitating Learning, Understanding Child Psychology and Effective Grading Systems: Enhancing Student Development and Academic Success is scheduled for September 20, 2024 while the third and final workshop in the series, Upholding Integrity: Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees is scheduled for October 25, 2024.
Tagged as "ESSU Faculty Forward: Professional Development Seminar-Workshop Series", the three-fold series workshop is focused on enhancing the professional development of the faculty members and is designed to enhance the skills, knowledge, and overall effectiveness in their role as educators.
