ESSU Main Campus was filled with holiday cheer as it hosted its much-awaited Ceremonial Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, December 6, 2024, in front of the Administration Building. The festive occasion marked the beginning of the Christmas season at the University, with a crowd of students, faculty, and staff gathering to witness the lighting of the Christmas tree.
University President Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr. led the much-anticipated countdown, joined by Vice Presidents Dr. Rhodora C. Mendoza, Dr. Jocelyn S. Castro, and Dr. Aris A. Lapada, alongside University Board Secretary Dr. Debbie Joyce R. Voloso. Their collective presence added a sense of unity and joy to the event, signaling the importance of shared traditions and camaraderie within the ESSU community.
The atmosphere was electrified by the vibrant display of fireworks that lit up the night sky, casting a festive glow over the campus. Complementing the visual spectacle, the ESSU Maydolong Brass Band and the ESSU Main Campus Marching Band serenaded the attendees with joyful holiday music, spreading a sense of merriment throughout the crowd. The event was not just a celebration of the season but a testament to the spirit of togetherness that defines ESSU.
A special acknowledgment was given to the organizers of the event, the Student Services and Alumni Affairs Office, headed by Dr. Aris A. Lapada, with the lead coordination of SOA Head Mr. Philip Raymund Bote. Their efforts ensured that the event was a memorable occasion for the entire ESSU community.
