ESSU Holds Joint Degree Program Consultantion with Rosewood International Collage Representative

In the University's relentless push for globalization and to be a technologically advanced institution, the International Affairs office held a consultation meeting at the Ibabawnon Theater on Thursday, October 24, 2024, engaging the faculty and students in a collaborative dialogue regarding the initiation of an international joint degree program for a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT).

The proposed program is between Eastern Samar State University and the Rosewood International College of Sydney, Australia. Through the diligent efforts of the International Affairs Director, Prof. Marijun Leonor T. Obon, ESSU was able to host Mr. Alexander Cabales II, the Business Development Officer of Rosewood International College, for his presentation of the program collaboration proposal.

This meeting is essential because it is meant to engage both faculty and students in the consultation process and ensure that all stakeholders have a voice in shaping the program. Faculty insights on curriculum design and academic standards, combined with student perspectives on learning outcomes and career aspirations will contribute to an inclusive proposal.

The establishment of an international joint degree program spells a commitment to global academic collaboration between the two institutions, which will also allow stakeholders to explore other potential partnership exercises, ensuring that the program is mutually beneficial and enhances both their global reputation.
