ESSU Delegation Shines at the 38th Eastern Visayas Regional SCUAA Games Opening Ceremonies in Calbayog City

Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) delegation joined hundreds of student-athletes, coaches, and University officials in a grand display of sportsmanship and unity during the opening ceremonies of the 38th Eastern Visayas Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games.
 
The prestigious event, hosted by Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) this year, officially kicked off with a colorful and vibrant parade at the NwSSU Oval Grounds. As the opening ceremonies commenced, the ESSU delegation proudly joined the parade of universities, with their vibrant green and gold uniforms and spirited cheers captivating the audience.
 
Leading the ESSU delegation were key University officials, underscoring the institution's strong support for its athletes and the region’s sporting culture. ESSU President, Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr., graced the occasion with his leadership presence, alongside former ESSU President, Dr. Edmundo A. Campoto, who continues to be a strong influence in the University’s development.
 
The delegation also included ESSU Vice Presidents Dr. Aris A. Lapada and Dr. Lito D. Lacaba, along with Campus Administrators Dr. Mirinisa Y. Boco, Dr. Jerald P. Torillo, and Engr. Arnaldo A. Villalon, and University Board Secretary, Dr. Debbie Joyce R. Voloso, whose presence further highlighted the institution’s commitment to the event.
 
As the games unfold in Calbayog City over the coming days, the ESSU delegation is poised to continue its strong showing in a range of events. ESSU’s athletes, with their determination and talent, are expected to put up an impressive performance across various games and sports.
