ESSU Community Grooves in Zumba Sessions to Promote Physical Health and Fitness

Students and employees of the Main Campus gathered at the Administration Building grounds on Friday, March 14, 2025, and sweated it all out to the tune of pulsating and rhythmic Zumba music as part of the International Women’s Month activities to foster women’s health and fitness.

A popular recreation for all ages everywhere, Zumba sessions always bring communities together to share in a highly enjoyable and sweat-extracting exercise that allows participants to dance and move according to their own pace while reaping the same benefits in terms of fitness and pleasure.

Led by ESSU faculty members Ms. Gloria Cleta Corado of the College of Science (CS) and Mr. Ruel Buenafe of the College of Business Management and Accountancy (CBMA), the Zumba sessions were held every Friday throughout the entire month of March, right before the flag-lowering ceremonies, as a recurring initiative to promote health and wellness among participants.
