The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted a payout and certificate awarding ceremony for the last batch of its Cash-for-Work (CFW) beneficiaries at Eastern Samar State University on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at ESSU Main Campus.
The activity, held at the University’s 2nd Floor Main Library, recognized the efforts of the beneficiaries who worked for 90 days across various work assignments. The CFW program, which provides temporary employment to marginalized individuals, allowed beneficiaries to earn a livelihood while acquiring new skills.
During the ceremony, DSWD officials and personnel commended the hard work and dedication shown by the beneficiaries throughout the duration of the program. In addition to receiving their payouts, the beneficiaries were also given certificates of completion as a token of appreciation for their valuable contributions.
The event served as a reminder of the importance of empowering individuals through sustainable employment opportunities and highlighted the positive impact that programs like CFW can have on both individuals and communities.
ESSU, through its University President, Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr., would like to extend its gratitude to DSWD for their unwavering support and commitment to improving the lives of those in need. Moving forward, the University is eager to continuing to work hand in hand with DSWD to uplift more individuals and bring about positive change in the province.
