ESSU proudly congratulates two College of Engineering (COE) faculty researchers of the Main Campus for taking home top recognitions at the Eastern Visayas Academe-Industry Forum held at the Leyte Normal University (LNU) yesterday, December 17, 2024.
The said forum was organized by the Eastern Visayas Consortium for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (EVCIEERD) where the ESSU team took part in the Poster and Technology Pitching Competition.
With their new technology called the Plastic Bottle Energy Harvester, Main Author and Inventor, Engr. Jacob A. Godino - Head Technical Expert, Electrical Engineering Unit; and Co-researcher and Presenter, Engr. Karizza L. Caspe—Head, Technology Licensing Unit, was awarded 2nd Place in the Technology Poster Competition and 3rd Place in the Technology Pitching Competition.
Mentored by the Intellectual Property Office of the University (IPOU) Director, Dr. Kimberly Michelle Q. Operario, this recent success by our COE researchers showcases the ingenuity and inventiveness of the University's pool of academic thinkers.
