Spearheaded by Regional Director Dr. Maximo C. Aljibe, a team from the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 8 (CHEDRO VIII) paid a visit to ESSU Main Campus for their ocular inspection and evaluation of the Student Affairs Services (SAS) on Friday, December 13, 2024.
The said inspection is in connection with the continuing evaluation of the University's services and processes to make sure of compliance with the Commission's standards for State Colleges and Universities and all tertiary institutions in the country.
A team of evaluators led by Education Supervisor Mr. Jan Paolo Vega conducted interviews, ocular inspections, and evaluations of supporting documents of the relevant units of the University which include the SAS Office, University Registrar, Income Generating Project (IGP), and Guidance Office, among others.
Along with the evaluation process mentioned, Dr. Aljibe also awarded ESSU's Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) program their Report on Result of Preliminary Assessment (RRPA), signifying the program's compliance with CHED standards as well. The said program is in the very first year of offering to the pioneering batch of students.
Securing the RRPA means the program will be eligible for a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from the Commission as well, which means that students of the said program will be eligible for the different scholarships made available by the University and their faculty members will also have a clearer path towards advancing their teaching careers.
