Student Publication Advisers from every ESSU campus came together on Friday, February 14, 2025, for a meeting at the STRDI Center in the Main Campus to put together a singular standard and well-defined handbook to govern all student publications across all campuses.
The said meeting resulted in a fruitful consultation among the convening members towards the goal of creating a single handbook that sets out the rights and obligations of students involved in campus journalism.
At the same time, this playbook will also protect the interests of the student body by providing specific standards that delineate their freedom of expression and responsibilities. Ultimately, the handbook aims to ensure that the student publications reflect the university's goals, mission, and vision via fair and balanced campus journalism.
