ESSU Can-avid Campus played host to a well-organized and eventful 4th State of the University Address (SOUA) of University President, Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan Jr., on Monday, February 17, 2025, at the ESSU Can-avid Multi-purpose Gymnasium.
Following a solemn Eucharistic celebration, Vice Presidents, Campus Administrators, and the Board of Regents (BOR) Members marched along the red carpet to usher in the beloved University President and kick off the activities. ESSU Can-avid Campus Administrator, Dr. Geronimo A. Ellado, welcomed the key officials, guests, and all attendees before BOR Secretary, Dr. Debbie Joyce R. Voloso, formally declared the opening of the session.
Into the central part of the session, Dr. Pagatpatan graced the podium to deliver his State of the University Address highlighted by his outstanding performance evaluation rating for his first term, the growing enrollment and faculty development as well as the landmark infrastructure and physical facilities installations across all campuses, occasional top notchers and consistent high ranking institutional licensure examination performances of various programs, successful accreditation by the most reputable organizations, significant strides in internationalization & global university rankings, partnerships with trusted organizations in terms of research, innovation and extension, and actionable ground-breaking master plan for the immediate and the long-term future of ESSU.
For all the successes achieved, Dr. Pagatpatan was quick to acknowledge that everything is a result of the collective hard work and collaboration of every faculty member, administrative personnel, support staff, and the entire workforce of the University. While the leadership celebrates the multiple achievements and countless milestone badges, all of it is a collective success that ought to be sustained and fortified in order to keep the feat going.
For their part, each campus administrator took turns in expressing their message of solidarity with the President and his vision of a future resilient Eastern Samar State University. Meanwhile, the Siplat Performing Arts Guild and the ESSU Can-avid Chorale kept the atmosphere of the event light and festive with their impressive performances along the entire program.
