In faithful regard to ESSU’s enduring commitment to quality and compliance, a team of experts from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) was welcomed by Dr. Marina S. Apilado, Vice President for External Affairs and Quality Assurance, to kick-off their 2-day Onsite Calibration of Laboratory Equipment in the various colleges. Calibrations will take place today and tomorrow, May 7-8, 2024, across select colleges on the Main Campus.
The DOST group is headed by Ms. Marilyn O. Radam, Assistant Regional Director for Technical Operations of DOST RO8, along with her team, Engr. Marcelino M. Nicer, Jr., Engr. Rodeon Niño P. Mercader, Mr. Aristotle A. Mazo, and Ms. Isabelita M. Pampos.
With their state-of-the-art devices and expertise, the team visited the laboratories of the College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, the College of Science, and the College of Nursing and Allied Sciences to calibrate and fine-tune laboratory equipment that is crucial in ensuring that students get practical applications and realistic training in their field of study.
The calibration practice is part of ESSU’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Laboratory Accreditation, another important piece of the institution’s guarantee to always strive for quality excellence in academic instruction.
