Program Objectives

BACHELOR OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY 

MAJOR IN ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTING TECHNOLOGY 

– (BIndTech – ADT)

The Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Architectural Drafting Technology (BIndTech-ADT) program is intended to prepare students for a professional career in Industrial Technology specifically in the field of architectural drafting technology. The BIndTech-ADT program shall impart a body of knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and experiences that will provide prospective industrial workers with the necessary competencies essential for effective and efficient production and manufacturing technologists and research functions.

The  program is designed to produce graduates equipped with technical expertise on the latest practices and technologies used in various industries such as architecture, engineering, construction, and manufacturing. These include developing technical skills in manual drafting and renderings, graphics and commercial arts, building materials and systems, product design, computer-aided drafting, quantity survey, quality control and management, and building modeling to prepare the students to become versatile professionals and highly skilled in various technical fields.

MAJOR IN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY – (BIndTech – AT)

The Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Automotive Technology (BIndTech-AT) program is intended to prepare students for a professional career in Industrial Technology specifically in the field of automotive technology. The BIndTech-AT program shall impart a body of knowledge, skills, attitudes, values, and experiences that will provide prospective industrial workers with the necessary competencies essential for effective and efficient production and manufacturing technologists and research functions.

The program includes the study of the standards and practices in automotive technology. It prepares students to acquire skills and disciplines required for computerized shop equipment as vehicle components and systems become increasingly sophisticated.

It focuses on the development of a strong understanding of key competencies in electrical circuits, control systems, power generation, transmission, and distribution, machinery, technopreneurship, and technical documentation. It prepares students to acquire skills and disciplines required for computerized shop equipment as vehicle components and systems become increasingly sophisticated.

The skills that best describes these values incorporate intuition, critical thinking and problem solving as well as abilities with spoken, written, graphic and spatial media.
