5. Training on Non-Wash Backyard Swine Raising at San Julian Eastern Samar |
Animal farming is a common industry in the province of Eastern Samar like raising pigs in pens out in their backyard or near residential houses that contributes one notable problem that burden our pig raisers & neighborhood which is the foul order causing air pollution that sometimes results to personal conflicts among neighborhood. The GS students of ALS conducted this activity to help promote this technology to farmers/pig raisers which is environmental-friendly & non-odorous swine culturing. |

ESSU is again embarking its 2ndInternational Conference on IDRRM last Sept. 3-5, 2015 at the ESSU Main Campus, Borongan City, in pursuit of its commitment to uphold its tradition of excellence in resolving pressing issues of the day: reducing & managing the effects of disasters that continuously threaten the quest for human survival. The 3-day conference primarily focused on generating scientific information that would lead to long-term, practical & sustainable solutions to climate change. |

Adolescence represents a period tremendous physical, psychological, and cognitive growth and development. Adolescents undergo changes as they transition from childhood, adulthood, developing habits, behavior patterns, and relationships that influence their lifelong health outcomes. This period is also marked by increasing involvement in risk behavior, including the initiation of sexual activity. Structured Learning Experience is an approach that will aid better comprehension of topics to be discussed. Since the chosen topics will touch sensitive issues, this will favor delivery of topics while encouraging the students’ active participation on the activity. |

4Ps (Pangkalusugang Pagpaplano ng pamilyang Pilipino) This component shall utilize Health Education and wellness promotion for family planning of the community of Eastern Samar through training on latest updates of Family Practices and Programs of the Department of Health.
Healthy Lifestyle (management of Non-Communicable Diseases) This shall focus on the lifestyle-related and non-communicable diseases immerging in the community as leading cause of morbidity and mortality cases for adult individuals in the community. This shall focus into health teaching for hypertension, diseases of heart, stroke, diabetes, and even cancer.
KapalKalusugan (Kapaligiran at Kalusugan) Project and Health Teaching on Hygiene and health practices against communicable diseases.
