Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan Jr., the president of Eastern Samar State University received a check from Engr. Ernesto M. Granada, Regional Director, DOST and Dr. Ramil T. Uy, Regional CEST Director amounting to one million pesos as fund for the Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) program.
The fund will be allocated towards the University’s efforts in helping Borongan’s marginalized sector greatly affected by the pandemic.
The turn-over ceremony took place at ESSU’s student pavilion and was also attended by the university’s VPs and representatives from DOST, PIA, DAR and other stakeholders.
