The spirit of unity, excellence, and sportsmanship takes center stage as the Eastern Samar State University officially opened the 2026 ESSU Inter-Campus Meet on Tuesday, October 27 and will conclude on Friday, the 30th of October 2026. This year’s Games is hosted by the Guiuan Campus.

Athletes, sports officials, and faculty coaches from the seven campuses of the ESSU System converged for this much-anticipated annual sporting event, bringing together the university community for a showcase of athletic talent, teamwork, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.

Delegations from the different campuses arrived at the Guiuan Campus the day prior to get themselves settled in. Officials and faculty coaches convened at the Covered court the same evening for their solidarity meeting and finalize the game formats and mechanics.

In his program message, ESSU President Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr. encouraged all participants to uphold sportsmanship, strengthen friendships, and embrace the values of fair play and healthy competition. The university aims to identify the university’s strongest athletes and form the best delegation to represent ESSU in the next Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games.
