College of Arts and Sciences Conducts Voters’ Education Seminar

Several public officials shared insights to the voting youth on responsible voting and public service during the Voters’ Education seminar at the Student Pavilion, last September 29.
An extension program initiated by the Political Science Department and Humanities and Social Science Department of the College of Arts and Sciences, the Seminar aimed to:
  • acquaint the youth with the basic concepts of democracy and the role of elections in democracy and governance
  • provide information about the electoral process and stress the importance of one’s vote
  • encourage voters to participate in the whole electoral and governance process
  • eventually effect informed political choices among the citizen voters
Further, University President Dr. Andres C. Pagatpatan, Jr. expressed his full support on prospective partnerships with the City Government for the welfare of the students.
